Data science and the statistical analysis of data is fundamental in all quantitative fields from agriculture to insurance and finance & from social sciences to the natural sciences and engineering. The Minor in Statistics provides a foundation for the concepts, methods and statistical packages used in data science and statistics in practice. These skills are in great demand and will greatly increase opportunities for employment or admission to graduate programs.
