Research interests: Partial differential equations, mathematical biology (dynamics of microtubules), stability of boundary layers, signal processing, stochastic processes.

The overall focus of my research is mainly in the area of mathematical biology with the emphasis on modeling. My current projects are mainly involved in the following topics:
- Mathematical modeling of Alzheimer disease based on the metal hypothesis
- Modeling dynamics of the MCF-7 breast cancer cell line treated by radiotherapy
- Compressive sensing and peak detection techniques in the compression and reconstruction of microtubules dynamic instability data
I also actively participate in many interdisciplinary projects with the electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, computer science and physics departments in Mississippi State University. In these projects, I have used different analytical and computational techniques from PDE (boundary layer theory), SDE, signal processing, random evolution and non-parametric methods in statistics.
