Applications are invited for two tenure-track positions (either at Assistant or Associate level) starting in August 2019. The requirements for either position include a doctoral degree or a doctoral degree expected by no later than August 2019 in statistics (preferably in computational statistics or data science in general), a commitment to effective graduate and undergraduate teaching and demonstrated success in research. Essential duties and responsibilities include teach undergraduate and/or graduate level courses, develop a substantial research program in one or more areas of statistics, especially in data science, provide direction and effective leadership for M.S. and Ph.D. students, and engage in departmental, university, and scientific community service functions. Salaries are competitive and commensurate with qualifications. Candidates in any area of statistics with a strong computational component are encouraged to apply.
