Dr. Jingyi (Catherine) Shi, an assistant professor of statistics in our department, has received a Mississippi INBRE award (NIH/NIGMS) in collaboration with the University of Southern Mississippi. This five-year award recognizes her expertise in data science and appoints her as an Associate Director of the Data Science Core of Mississippi INBRE. The Mississippi INBRE program aims to enhance biomedical research in the state and engage talented researchers and students. We congratulate Dr. Shi on this outstanding achievement.
